- This is a great handwarmer pattern that you might overlook since it is in the beginning of the magazine (not in the patterns section). These were fun to make, and, oh, so fast and easy. In fact my 9-year old daughter has now made a pair of these for herself (with a little assistance).
I made these as a Christmas present for Niece#1 (pictured above). She does not appear to get the whole "handwarmer concept", so I'm not sure they will get much use. I thought they would be perfect since she has cut holes in the cuffs of some of her long sleeve t-shirts so she can stick her thumb through and keep her hands warm. But something specifically made to keep your hands warm while leaving your fingers free? Well, apparently that's just "weird." Oh well, . . . teenagers.
I really like the colors of this yarn. However, it is a little bit scratchier than I would like.
