Greenish-Brown Trekking XXL Socks

Pattern:

Basic stockinette socks, but with an Italian/round/tubular cast on, using directions from Lana Grossa's knitting tips section

Yarn:

Zitron Trekking XXL, [75% wool, 25% nylon],
color: 69? (greenish brown mix), <1 ball

Needles:

base row for cast on using US0, rest on US1

Comments:

I made these socks for Uncool Guy.
I love the colors of Trekking XXL. They have some good colors that are "manly" enough for a guy, but are still interesting to knit.
I used the tubular cast on here just for kicks. The Lana Grossa instructions worked fine, but I think I like the finished result better on the socks I made using the instructions in The Principles of Knitting. However, that cast on was more of a pain in the butt.
